Consecrated men and women in Zimbabwe converged at Regina Mundi in Gweru Diocese for a day of prayer, reflections and togetherness under the theme “Vocation, youth and globalisation: our role as religious”. Gracing the occasion was Bishop Michael Bhasera of Masvingo Diocese and Apostolic Administrator for Gweru Diocese, Bishop Raymond Mupandasekwa of Chinhoyi Diocese and Monsignor Gabriel Pesce who is the charge d’affaires at the Apostolic Nunciature and major religious superiors of diverse congregations. Seeking peace and pursuing it is at the heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is in this respect that the Zimbabwe Catholic Bishops’ Conference through its Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace in conjunction with the Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) invited a delegation of the Joint Conference Church and Development (GKKE) to exchange notes on ways of advancing peace not only in the two countries but in the whole world.
